The challenge
Starting from the 3D geometry of the machine’s mechanism, a multibody dynamics model was developed to accurately reproduce the typical operating cycle under the loads applied by the athlete.
The most highly stressed components were then assessed through fatigue analysis using the structural loads obtained from the simulated operating cycle.
Our contribution
This simulation-driven approach made it possible to identify the most critical areas in terms of fatigue strength, both in the structural components and in the welded joints, before physical testing. Based on these findings, the critical parts were redesigned to improve durability.
As a result, the product approval process was significantly accelerated, while reducing both development time and prototyping costs.
