Tdyn - Professional CFD for Designers - French

Tdyn is a computational fluid dynamic (CFD) simulation environment based on the RANSE formulation of Navier-Stokes equations and on the stabilized Finite Element Method. Tdyn works with number of different turbulence models and sophisticated tools for simulating problems of species advection, heat transfer in fluids and solids, as well as free surface among others. Tdyn includes a fully integrated pre and post processing environment specifically designed for the creation and adaptation of analysis geometry, as well as the later visualization of results. Tdyn is highly flexible in defining physical properties of the model, boundary conditions, through user-defined functions that can make Tdyn a tool with large variety of applications: industrial, aeronautics, naval, civil.

Tdyn can approach the following problems

  • Analysis of loads on buildings and other structures CFD analysis of a IACC class boat
  • Simulation of wind tunnel and basin test
  • Ventilation and refrigeration systems simulation
  • Analyses of transport and dispersion phenomena of contaminating substances
  • Industrial flows simulation
  • Determination and analyses of fluid separation phenomena
  • Biologic flows analyses
  • Fluid noise, cavitations and turbulence phenomena determination and analysis
  • Heat transfer analyses in fluids and solids
  • Pressure loss calculation in tubes and valves
  • Shape optimization

And much more...

Internal CFD simulation of a valveState-of-art CFD technology

Tdyn is an environment for multi physics simulation, based on the leading stabilized finite element method (FIC-FEM). This technology allsow the simulation of steady and unsteady flows, producing accurate results also with automatic generated meshes. Tdyn offers several solvers (iterative and direct) that support computers with multiple cpu dual-core and quad-core, granting high performance on Windows (XP, Vista) and Linux systems, based on 32bit or 64bit architecture.

GiD modeler for TDYNEmbedded CFD Modeler

Tdyn includes a fully integrated pre and post processing environment specifically designed for the creation and adaptation of analysis geometry, as well as the later visualization of results. The pre-processing part allows the generation of complex geometries defined by typical CAD entities, such as NURBS or COONS surfaces, through the variety of tools available. In the same way, it is able to import standard CAD files in IGS and DXF formats among others. The modeler offers a consistent and intuitive interface for definition of boundary conditions, material properties and other data. Data definition is performed at geometry level, being independent of the mesh/es used in the analyses. Tdyn meshing technology includes a suite of tools to create high-quality unstructured, structured and semi-structured meshes in an automatic way and verify the quality of the generated elements.

True Multi-Physics Simulation

Tdyn offers several solvers for a number of engineering problems:

  • Module RANSOL for incompressible and slightly compressible real fluids with viscosity and turbulence.
  • Module HEATRANS for heat-transfer analyses in solids and fluids.
  • Module ADVECT for simulation of transport / dispersion of multiple substances including effects of physical properties changes like free surfaces, precipitation …
  • Module NAVAL for naval problems simulation (eg. rolling).
  • Module ODDLS per free surface simulation.
  • Module URSOLVER for user defined partial differential equations (PDE) problems in both fluid and solid materials (e.g. electromagnetism).
  • Module RAMSOLID for structural mechanics.
  • Module ALEMESH for problems with deformable mesh or moving parts.

The different modules of Tdyn are fully integrated and the complete environment is used as one single program.
